Spring is in the air and what better way to spend time outdoors than visiting a park or going for a walk. A place I visited for the first time recently was the River Bank Walk in Donegal town.
The town was voted by TripAdvisor as one of the Best Destinations to visit in Ireland thus receiving a 2016 Travelers' Choice Award, but this walk didn't make it into the top attractions somehow.
A real treasure in the town, the walk runs along the bank of the Eske river for about 1.5km of leafy green gorgeousness and has impressive views of the Old Franciscan Friary and Donegal Bay.
You will find the entrance to the left after crossing Boyce’s Bridge towards Mountcharles.

A pleasant place to spend an hour or two with benches along the trail to sit awhile. |
